Here is a very nice cutaway of our Defender I that clearly shows why the Lamperd modified 20 ga. round is the only round that can be chambered. The standard 20 ga. shotgun shell cannot be chambered due to the precise design of our cylinder - note the shoulder that prevents the longer, standard shotgun shell from being chambered. With the established safety record of our Wasp modified 20 ga. round we think it is time to get our Defender I out of the same ATF classification as grenade launchers and machineguns. Please contact the ATF at the address or phone number listed below to get the progress of the reclassification of our Defender I. So many deaths from the electronic, stun gun weapons; - it's time for the Defender I to be the safer weapon of choice for Less Lethal. Let's hope the ATF moves on this reclassification in a timely manner - lives are at stake...
